Take Action to stop junk mail

Let's take back our mailboxes from corporate junk mailers

Junk mailers are filling up your mailboxes with the paper waste that you don't want, never asked for, and can't stop. We know that junk mail isn't just annoying: it invades your privacy, wastes your time, and destroys the environment. So far, over 100,000 people have joined the campaign to stop junk mail. Will you let these notorious junk mailers know why?

Sign the petition to form a Do Not Mail Registry

In 2003, Congress created the national Do Not Call Registry, the most popular consumer rights bill in history. Today, we need a comparable registry to end the onslaught of junk mail. One of our goals is to establish a national registry — modeled after the landmark Do Not Call Registry — that will give us the choice to stop unwanted junk mail from entering our homes.

Pass a Do Not Mail resolution in your city

Activists across the US are working to pass symbolic municipal resolutions in support of a national Do Not Mail Registry to stop junk mail. So far, Seattle and San Francisco have adopted Do Not Mail resolutions -- the first two of many more to come. These resolutions put pressure on state governments and Congress to establish a solution to the waste and destruction caused by the junk mail industry.
